“ This is a key area of interest for me so I welcomed the conversation. What became clear from the people who attended: use of social media in the enterprise is still in it's infancy and most companies have no real strategy yet.
The tools discussed are really good at monitoring activity on the web but they cannot tie it back to improved performance of the business. So, it is very hard to actually measure the benefit. Without measurement, many companies won't invest time on these initiatives, especially in this economy.
