    Interesting and thought-provoking presentation from the IBM Cognos team. The zero-touch web interface is exceptional - definitely deserves a closer look. I will post the slides to our meetup site shortly.

    I really enjoyed the demo part of the session. Cognos 8 does indeed look very slick, and the Powerpoint integration is a huge win. This will enable us to develop complex presentation quality reports and still allow the addition of a few pages of additional manually added information necessary to tie the story together.

    Very useful if slightly long winded product overview from Cognos, er IBM. Product looks very slick, and has appeared to address many of the long-standing BI niggles (Office integration, Commentary, even basic lineage). I would definitely be interested in finding out more - especially about the product road map - and & trying to assess the relative competencies of BO vs. Cognos.

    It was useful information from the vendor on Cognos. I suppose a good overview for general audiences. However, personally, I found the pace slow. It is not a severe criticism -- just seems to be par for vendor talks.
